Welcome fellow patients, closet smokers, stoners, survivors. Whatever brings you to this page we're all united by one thing. Our love for Cannabis. I decided to make my first official Blog post about Sour Diesel, one of my long time favorite strains.
From Leafly-
"East Coast Sour Diesel is a fast-acting attitude lifter that patients love for its truly sativa effects. This strain has a sour lemon smell and taste that’s crisp and uplifting. East Coast Sour Diesel is powerful so new patients should be cautious. Those looking to alleviate anxiety or get some sleep may want to skip this high energy medicine."
East Coast Sour Diesel is not for the amateur smoker. Heavy hitting high with pungent diesel and citrus tastes and aromas. Tastes just like it smells, with a throat coating diesel after taste. The effects are almost immediate. After a few hits you can feel it in the back of your eyes. After a few minutes you're couch locked. ECSD would work well for pain management, appetite, and sleep. Sour diesel is known as a clone only strain. Meaning that seeds from the original mother are no longer available. Efforts have been made to recreate the ESCD, by back breeding, and Rezdog from Reservoir Seeds has come up with a stable seed which is very close to the original.
From potguide-

When Original Diesel was accidentally crossed with a DNL plant that hermied, it created seed stock that produced the East Coast Sour Diesel (ECSD) clone.  Many seed companies have released crosses with the strain, and some (like Reservoir Seeds) have attempted to reproduce the strain in seed form, releasing a variety of backcrosses and IBLs with varying results.
Flowering time on the East Coast Sour Diesel is 9-11 weeks. They can triple in height in flower, making it a very tall plant. Also due to the long flower time it is unsuitable for outdoor growing in Maine. Yield is worse than the original Sour Diesel, or it's New York City Diesel counterpart. But the effects and aromas are unmatched. Notoriously hard to grow. It takes time to veg and produce a viable root system. Once mastered, a well taken care of ECSD plant will quickly work it's way up to the top of your favorites list.

GRADE: A+
POTENCY: 8.9/10
TASTE: 9/10
SMELL: 9/10
GROW DIFFICULTY: 9/10
